The SHARE Bit Bucket session has been a standing tradition since SHARE 76 in March 1991, when Bob Shannon and Carl Youngren first launched the idea of a rapid-fire, end-of-conference roundup for the z/OS community.
Continuing that legacy, this lively and informal session brings together multiple speakers from the z/OS Systems track to share short, high-impact insights that don’t fit into a full session — but are too valuable to keep to themselves. Each speaker highlights something learned during this SHARE, discovered since the last SHARE, or observed in daily mainframe operations that could help the broader community.
Topics span the full z/OS ecosystem — from hardware configuration tips and performance challenges to software features, automation tricks, and problem-solving war stories.
